Become the Heart of Diaspora Care in Your Country
Diaspora Care is looking for passionate and committed volunteers to serve as Country Ambassadors—local leaders who connect, inspire, and mobilize Indonesian communities around the world.
As the official representatives of Diaspora Care in their respective countries, Country Ambassadors play a vital role in building trusted local networks, fostering collaboration, and expanding the organization’s mission of serving Indonesians globally while creating lasting impact in Indonesia.
Whether organizing community events, welcoming new volunteers, supporting emergency response efforts, or building partnerships with local organizations, Country Ambassadors help transform compassion into meaningful action.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Diaspora Care within the Indonesian diaspora community in your country.
- Build and nurture relationships with Indonesian community organizations, student associations, professionals, businesses, and local partners.
- Recruit, coordinate, and support local volunteers and country-level working groups.
- Organize community engagement activities, fundraising campaigns, networking events, and volunteer initiatives.
- Coordinate local responses during emergencies involving Indonesian citizens, working closely with Diaspora Care’s global network and relevant stakeholders.
- Promote Diaspora Care’s programs, campaigns, and volunteer opportunities through local outreach and digital engagement.
- Identify local needs, opportunities, and partnerships that strengthen Diaspora Care’s mission.
- Share best practices, success stories, and impact reports with the global leadership team.

- Strong communicators with leadership and organizational skills.
- Collaborative, inclusive, and committed to the values of gotong royong.
- Proactive problem-solvers who enjoy bringing people together.
- Able to dedicate time consistently to community engagement and volunteer leadership.
Previous experience in community organizing, nonprofit work, event management, diplomacy, student organizations, or professional associations is valuable but not required.
Commitment
- Volunteer position
- Approximately 5–10 hours per month
- Flexible schedule with virtual coordination and occasional in-person community activities
- Participation in regular global ambassador meetings, leadership development sessions, and annual strategic gatherings
Why Join?
As a Country Ambassador, you will become part of a global network of Indonesians united by a shared purpose: ensuring that no Indonesian faces challenges alone and that the success of our diaspora creates opportunities for others.
Your leadership will help build stronger communities, inspire volunteerism, connect people across borders, support fellow Indonesians during times of need, and contribute to meaningful social impact both globally and in Indonesia.
Together, we are building a worldwide movement where every Indonesian, wherever they live, has the opportunity to give back, belong, and make a difference.
