Diaspora Care is seeking creative communicators, storytellers, and media professionals to join our Communications & Public Relations Team—a passionate group of volunteers dedicated to amplifying our mission, celebrating our impact, and inspiring people around the world to get involved.
The Communications & Public Relations Team serves as the voice of Diaspora Care, helping to build awareness, strengthen our brand, engage the Indonesian diaspora, and foster meaningful relationships with media, partners, donors, volunteers, and the public.
By telling authentic stories of compassion, resilience, and gotong royong, the team transforms acts of kindness into a movement that inspires others to give, volunteer, and create lasting social impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies that increase awareness and engagement with Diaspora Care’s mission.
- Create compelling content for websites, newsletters, social media, email campaigns, and marketing materials.
- Capture and share stories of volunteers, beneficiaries, donors, and community partners that highlight the organization’s impact.
- Manage media relations and support press releases, interviews, and public announcements.
- Strengthen Diaspora Care’s brand identity by ensuring consistent messaging and visual communications across all platforms.
- Collaborate with Country Ambassadors and program teams to promote campaigns, events, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer opportunities.
- Support photography, videography, graphic design, and digital storytelling efforts.
- Monitor communication performance and recommend strategies to expand audience reach and community engagement.
- Help manage public inquiries and build positive relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and strategic partners.

Commitment
- Volunteer position
- Approximately 4–6 hours per month
- Flexible remote collaboration with opportunities to support campaigns, events, and global initiatives
- Participation in regular communications planning meetings and campaign coordination
