Diaspora Care is seeking experienced professionals to join our Project Review, Monitoring & Approval Team—a dedicated group of volunteers responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and approving projects that create meaningful social impact for Indonesians around the world and communities across Indonesia.
As a key governance function, this team ensures that every proposed initiative aligns with Diaspora Care’s mission, strategic priorities, governance principles, and available resources. By applying objective review standards and continuous oversight, the team helps ensure that projects are well-designed, financially responsible, operationally feasible, and capable of delivering measurable outcomes.
From emergency response initiatives and educational programs to community development and humanitarian projects, the Project Review, Monitoring & Approval Team helps ensure that every project supported by Diaspora Care meets the highest standards of quality, accountability, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate project proposals submitted by Country Ambassadors, volunteers, partners, and program teams.
- Assess project feasibility, alignment with organizational priorities, expected outcomes, budget requirements, and potential risks.
- Recommend project approval, revision, or deferment based on established evaluation criteria.
- Monitor the implementation and progress of approved projects to ensure they remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with approved objectives.
- Review project reports, milestones, and financial updates, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Identify operational, financial, compliance, and implementation risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the Program Committee, Finance & Audit Team, and Impact Committee to strengthen project quality, governance, and accountability.
- Promote standardized project management practices, documentation, and reporting across all Diaspora Care initiatives.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of project review frameworks, approval processes, and monitoring tools.

- Humanitarian assistance
- Public administration
- Engineering or infrastructure projects
- Healthcare or education program management
- Business analysis or strategic planning
Individuals with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to transparency and accountability will be particularly valuable in this role.
Commitment
- Volunteer position
- Approximately 4–6 hours per month
- Virtual meetings with periodic project review sessions and governance discussions
- Flexible engagement based on expertise and project review schedules
